Charts for Notion

Put a real interactive chart inside a Notion page. Build it from your Notion database or any spreadsheet, publish it, then paste one URL into an embed block — hover tooltips and all.

No es una captura — es un gráfico interactivo real, insertado igual que lo estaría el tuyo.

El código para insertar

Una línea de HTML. Es el código real del gráfico de arriba — pégalo en cualquier página que acepte HTML.

<iframe width="100%" height="100%" src="https://plotset.com/api/embed/0fd96738-f547-4c54-ad6d-3f2d85929b87" />

El tamaño es cosa tuya: define el ancho y el alto en el iframe, o envuélvelo en un contenedor con la proporción que prefieras.

PlotSet y Notion, sin adornos

Notion is a very good place to keep the numbers and a limited place to draw them. Its built-in database charts cover the everyday shapes and are tied to a database in the same workspace, which is exactly what you want for an internal dashboard and exactly what runs out when the chart needs to be a map, a sankey, a treemap or a bump chart — or when it has to look like your brand on a page you share with people outside the workspace. PlotSet fills that gap without replacing anything: you build the chart from the same rows, publish it, and drop the URL into a Notion embed block. The chart lives in PlotSet, renders inside the Notion page, and the same embed works on your website, in your docs and in a client report.

Cómo hacer un gráfico con datos de Notion

De la hoja de cálculo al gráfico publicado, paso a paso.

01

Get the rows out of Notion

On a database view, use the ••• menu → Export → Markdown & CSV to download a CSV. For a simple table block, selecting the cells and copying them works just as well.

02

Tidy the export first

Notion writes multi-select and relation properties as comma-separated text, and rollups as their displayed value. Split, rename or drop those columns before you chart them — this is the step people skip and then blame on the chart.

03

Paste or upload into PlotSet

Open a template and paste straight into the data grid, or drop in the CSV. Column types are detected as you paste, so dates stay dates and numbers stay numbers.

04

Bind the columns and style it

Tell the template which column holds the labels and which holds the values, then set your palette, fonts and number formatting. Those are chart settings, so they survive every data update.

05

Publish and copy the URL

Publishing gives you a live chart URL and a one-line iframe snippet. For Notion you need the URL — the snippet is there for websites and CMSes.

06

Embed it in the Notion page

Type /embed on a new line, paste the URL and hit Embed link. Pasting the URL directly and choosing "Create embed" does the same thing. Drag the block's bottom edge to set the height.

Lo que ganas frente a los gráficos de Notion

  • Chart types Notion does not draw

Choropleth and symbol maps, sankey diagrams, treemaps, marimekko, bump charts, population pyramids, animated bar chart races — around 300 templates in total.

  • The same chart works outside Notion

One published chart, one URL. Embed it in the Notion page, on your marketing site and in your documentation, and update it once for all three.

  • It looks like your brand, not like Notion

Your fonts, your palette, your number formats. A chart destined for a client-facing page rarely wants to inherit the styling of the tool that stored the data.

  • Real export for reports and decks

PNG, SVG and PDF at print resolution. A Notion embed is fine on screen; a slide or a printed report needs a file, and this is where you get one.

Lo que esto no hace

  • It is not connected to your Notion database

PlotSet holds its own copy of the rows. When the database changes you re-export and re-upload — nothing polls Notion for you, and no integration or API key is involved.

  • Embedded charts do not survive a PDF export

Notion's page export does not render embedded iframes. If the page is going to be printed or exported, put a PNG of the chart in the page as well and keep the embed for the on-screen version.

  • Viewers need to be able to reach the chart

The embed loads from PlotSet, so anyone who can open the Notion page can see it. That is the point on a shared page, and worth knowing before you put confidential numbers in one.

  • Notion properties need tidying first

Relations, rollups and multi-selects export as text. Formula columns export as their result. None of that is a problem, but none of it is chart-ready either.
